NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS

Notice is hereby given to the Taxpayers of Walnut Township, Marshall County, Indiana, that the proper fiscal body, the Walnut Township Advisory Board, will consider the following additional appropriation in excess of the budget for the current year at the B&R Building, 194 S. Michigan St, Argos, Indiana 46501 on the 5th day of December 2023.

Category: Direct Assistance

Proposed Amoun: $6,000.00

The proposed total additional appropriation of $6,000.00 for the township assistance fund will be used to cover additional direct assistance for utilities and burial or cremation expenses for qualifying residents of Walnut Township, Marshall County, Indiana.  Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard.  The additional appropriation(s) as finally made will be referred to the Department of Local Government Finance.  The Department will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriation(s) within Fifteen(15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken.
