The Argos Park Board provides oversight for the Argos Department of Parks & Recreation. The Argos Park Board meets every third Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Building.
We are very proud of our parks. Memorial Park on South Michigan Street is a nice place to have a picnic while the kids play. Community Park has a 1.3-mile paved walking trail for you to enjoy along with a fishing pond, splash pad, and lots of playground equipment for the kids. Foker Park has a large pond for fishing and has just gone through an upgrade with a new paved walking trail, parking lot, restrooms, playground equipment and more.
The Town of Argos has an extensive park system with Foker Park, Community Park, Memorial Park, and Downtown Square (coming soon).
The Argos Parks and Recreation Department has many available rental spots for your next party or event. Please download the form and return to the Clerk's Office.
The Argos Parks and Recreation Five Year Master Plan has been created to continue the major plan outlined in the Ball State University complete study of the Argos park lands which was completed in the early 1990s.
